San Diego 2000

A walking safari through Africa was envisioned for 32 acres of eroded exhibits at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. NLA led the site design that included hidden animal barriers, waterfalls, soil-conserving grasses and drought-resistant trees. The lake was dredged to provide bird and fish habitat capacity for recycled irrigation water and exhibits were tailored to the animals they house.
