As the prime consultant, NLA conducted workshops with curators and keepers, operations managers, horticulture and education staff in order to design the site of a 9-acre complex of animal exhibits with animal holding areas. This included transplanting of trees, artificial rocks, bus viewing, pathways, glass viewing and water features to create safe and attractive home environments for Asian and African Elephants as well as the following : California condor, rattlesnake, camel, ass, pronghorn, pacific pond turtle, secretary bird, tapir, capybara, guanaco, jaguar, African lion and three-toed sloth. NLA over saw selection of sub-consultants, workshop facilitation, schematic design, design development, construction documents and bid administration. NLA adhered to the schedule and budget for this project.
